Ras Umm Sid, Egypt

As our hero stood in the blazing sun, looking into the wide blue sea, (red sea).  He looked to his left and smiled at his woman, all of a sudden a shadow passed over them, they squinted into the sun at the figure stood before them............Is that you best buddy asked Bandit? It is I said Sinai Diving staff member, do you want to dive?  No hesitation, yes, this must be an omen...............

Next morning, on board Ghazala 4 the intrepid diver and his sidekick the sun worshipper boarded, Bandit looking forward to his first dive in the Red Sea an Margi was looking forward to the peace and quiet.  After a 30 minute pootle around the pinninsula Bandit and 4 other divers listened to the dive brief, It was announced we were diving Ras Umm Sid, a reef wall which fell to around 60 metres.

Bandit kitted up and with a smile and a wave to his beloved on the sun deck did his speciality forward dive, gracefully he entered the water and with an OK sign to the guide they all descended.  Camera ready Bandit glided to 15 metres and waited for the fat germans to stop and coordinate themselves into some type of formation.
Off they went, and WOW, the reef life was amazing, Barracuda, snappers, red sea bannerfish, stonefish, lionfish and too many more to mention. Suddenly, under a rock hiding was a blue spotted ribbontail ray, snap went the camera, Bandit even thought the ray smiled.

All too soon, 44 minutes max depth 31 metres was over, back on board and log book filled in, big smiles all round by Bandit with a promise to return ASAP.
