I have put a link in below so that you can look and see what is on offer.A week in the Maldiveson DhonveliBeach resort Island. For this particular week of the year the prices are at least £350 below every other week .For an all inclusive holiday, including transfers to the island we have paid £683. Weeks either side of this date are quoting £990+. There are other cheaper holidays on the First choice website, but we have picked Dhonveli for the following reasons
1.All Inclusive (incidentals such as water could cost as much as $3 a bottle on a Full Board or B&B holiday and it all adds up) 2.It has a house reef which means that early morning dives and night dives are so easy to arrange 3.There are a number of additional services on the island such as two pools, two restaurants/ bars, other water sports, etc,.
The diving is payable locally. We have requested rates for diving but last year the charges were around $33-38 per dive plus $6 for the boat for individual dives. We paid $350 for a package for unlimited 6 days consecutive diving and we got 18 dives out of that, which worked out at about $20 per dive plus the $6 per boat trip
We absolutely had the time of our lives here last year, so much so we would be more than happy if anyone wants to book and come along and share this fantastic holiday with us.
Flight goes on Thursday 12th June and arrives back Friday 20th June. We have booked through the First Choice shop in Grange Precinct in Birkenhead, but it can be booked online or at any First Choice shop. Because it is a long haul flight, they are looking for a £180 pp deposit.Unfortunately, there are NO single rooms and they do not account for single supplements. Can be done on one or two of the islands but not here. Baggage allownace is 20k plus an additional 10k for diving kit FOC but this does have to be pre booked (Not like Sharm - show card at check in desk)
No individual bag to weigh in excess of 23k (we took dive kit in one bag, clothes in another)
Water in June last year was 29 deg, weather nice and warm around 27 30 deg.
Obviously this will all be subject to availability. But I believe the price is rising about a tenner a day. Website says £664, we paid £683.
Book it! You know it makes sense!

Looks like the window of opportunity has gone. All holidays on the website are now in excess of £800.
It may be worth noting though that this also happened last year when we booked. There must be just a small number of holidays available at a low price to tempt and when they've gone, they've gone. The cheapies seemed to come on w/c 7 February for the summer brochure. Might be worth checking in July / August for the Winter brochure.
