There he was standing in that manly manner all have come to admire. Bandit, MSD extraordinaire and Portland veteran. Kit on his back surveying Chesil beach with the waves crashing in just after high tide, 'come on Rob' Bandit shouted, he was itching to get wet. The hardened heroe's strode across the beach in that manly way to the sea (as Geoff will verify is sometimes hard), once in the water they descended to 5mtrs and kicked west out into the depths of the ocean, vis around 8 mtrs, temp a balmy 16 degrees..............Wonderful.!!!
In and out of the rocks and wrecks which were scattered around, all wrecks were unidentifiable by now, covered in marine life, wrasse, lobsters, spider and other crabs scurrying around. All of a sudden a sand bank at 15 mtrs depth appeared, Rob made a signal and Bandit hovered next to him, in a single smooth motion (well practiced) Bandit and Rob produced a goody bag and a spear, tha stalking began...................................!!!!!!!!!!
Slowly our heroe's moved over the sand, searching here and ther for a sign, five minutes went by, then ten.............suddenly a movement........ with speed faster than an eye could detect Rob had the huge fish pinned to the floor, Bandit joined the melee' and a fight ensued, there was only one outcome. The Plaice was placed in the goody bag for Lunch yum yum.
After 51 minutes of diving, the veterans returned to the beach and strode in that manly way up the beach with their quarry in the bag, once prepared and cooked, it went down a treat with a pint of guinness. 'Nothing like a fresh bit of fish from your doorstep' said Rob, Bandit replied while soaking up the sun and a pint, 'your not wrong there, fancy another dive later Rob'?..................That is another story my friend's.............
