Diving at the Delph this Sunday?

Hi, still a newbie on the site and the club so be gentle with your replies, please.

Went to the Leasowe castle tonight and although didnt meet anybody new, well I'm new aren't I, its hard to break into conversation with an already close knit group.  I just thought I would show my face for the next time..

My question is...  will anybody be diving this Sunday (as I'm looking to buddy up) and get a few dives in before I head off on holiday (24th August).

As mentioned I'm a relative newbie, completed my open water with Tom and John a few weeks back but have dived in Malta a few times (DSD and Scuba Diver padi courses)

If anybody is going out and doesn't mind a newbie buddy please feel free to reply or email.

Many thanks

Ian

Anybody?

Does anybody know if you can turn up and put your name down for a buddy?

Looking for a nice leisurely dive to 15m or so, would like to gain a bit more experience with a more experienced diver.

Thanks...

Ian

HI Ian

Good to see a new face last wednesday, Geoff and I were going to Portland this week end, unfortunately the weather is against us.

We now may well go to Capernwrey Sunday for a splash, I am waiting to hear from Geoff today later to see what time he is picking me up, normally around 7.00am and meet at Charnock around 8.00am.

If anyone else wants to come, your welcome.

Bandit, thanks for the reply.  Would love to tag along along if possible.  As mentioned a bit of a newbie to this diving lark but have completed PADI DSD, Scuba Diver and Open Water courses withing last 11 months and just need a bit more experience.  What depths are you going to? (Would prefer nice leisurely 10-15m max) for now if you can accomodate me?

Many thanks

Ian.

PS. I dont mind sitting topside while you do deeper dives, I'm assuming there is a cafe there for me to have a brew?

HI Ian

Max depth at Capernwrey is around 20 mtrs, we normally hang out around 14 to 16 anyway so well within your depth range.

At the moment we will meet at Charnock Richards in the cafe normally at 8.00am, there is a cafe etc at Capernwrey.

I will check the site later for your reply or call me on 678 3752 for a chat.
I am still waiting to here from Geoff.

Just seen the reply, will be there at 8.00am, I notice you are leaving Upton to get there at 8, what time do you leave?

Call me on 07951 855451 to discuss, will be up to late.

Just got back from Capenwray and sorted all my kit out.
Would like to thank both Bandit and Geoff for the company during todays dives.  Thoroughly enjoyed every minute but need to not "gulp" as much air in future.

Have to say what a cracking place it is and the size of them fish weirdfacevisability was good and was quite warm, could have got away with a shorty I think biggrin

Again, thanks.

Ian
