Bastet is an Egyptian Goddess. I know many things about the Ancient Egyptians. Bastet is the Cat Goddess. As I have three kittens of my own, she happens to be my favourite. She can be seen, it is true, as a woman with the head of a cat but she can also be seen as just a cat. If you search on google images, type in bastet, you will see a picture of a statue. I have the exact same statue at home.
Also, I do not look like her, no. If you have ever seen the newish film 'Catwoman' then Bastet is also mentioned in that.
Anybody who visits this page. If you ever need any help with Egyptian stuff, just contact me via email and I will answer most of your questions.

Hi Bastet, I have a few books on Egyptian myth, one is called the seventh scroll. Its all about a scroll found by accident behind a secret wall when archiologists were investigating a queens tomb.
Apparently when the Egyptians were run out of Egypt by an invading force a king was buried somewhere in Africa at the top end of the Nile, his tomb still has not been found as the scrolls incrytion has not been deciphered properly and the land has changed so much. cool or what, that a tomb still lies untouched. Still, its probably all fiction.
What do you think Bastet, heard any of these tales??
By writing 'on the quiet' was a silly idea. Now everybody can see it. Anyway, I find Egyptology and Greek mythology fascinating. I know more Greek myths and legends off by heart though. How about you? Do you read any Greek mythology?

I hate to point this out, but it was infact you who actually started the mythology theme and I quote you:
'Ok Bastet, I assume Bastet is some kind of Egyptian god thing! I've just looked it up- woman with the head of a cat! Is that a description of you???? Why did you pick that one?'
So what do you have to say about that? I don't want to be mean or anything but it was actually you who started it.
Bastet xx

No not that clever, never really taken the time to learn the Hieroglyphics (is that spelt right?). Troy is one of my favorites, but the story of the Spartens and how they held out against all the odds was brilliant, they were all killed in the end.
