Nick and I were working on the up and coming Scotland trip and got talking about diving and places and feedback from recent leisure dives and then we had an idea
How about diving the Farne Islands instead of Dunoon?
What's the difference, I hear you cry? Well, there's not a lot of differences at all really. The travelling distance is possibly slightly less but without the time taken to travel on the ferry. Oh and then there's the cost of the ferry.
We can get equally as nice accommodation for around the same price with the leisure facilities included in the price (check this one out) This is about 2 miles from the harbour. But this is just an idea of what's available.
For those who would prefer shore diving there are two good dives at Eyemouth (Green Ends Gully and the one next to it which name escapes me!!) with a dive shop within 5 mins walking distance with air fills. How convenient!
Intinerary the same as before with dates, meals, lunches, BBQ etc, just a different spot in the British Isles. All we'd need to check is availability.
Nick and I have both dived St Abbs and Eyemouth, but have always wanted to do the Farne Islands. How about making it a club first
Let us know by phone , text , email , PM, forum, what you think?
Where do we go? You decide!!!! (said in that Newcastley Big Brother type of accent!!)
