On 17 September two more divers successfully completed their Open water course.

Congratulations  Pete(from WS) and Steve. You are now members of FFS Diver Training. Welcome to the club. We look forward to you joining us on dives and social occasions.

We would also encourage you to continue your diving education with the Club. Your next stage would be the Advanced Open Water course, which would qualify you to dive to a depth of 30 metres.

We have Club night at the Leasowe Castle on the first Wednesday of every month from about 8 p.m. until about 10. It's just a bit of socialising. Nothing heavy or boozey. Come along and see what you think.

Congratulations to Kevin who successfully completed his Open Water course on 1st October.

Well done Kevin. I hope you enjoy your trip to the Red Sea as a qualified diver. Come and dive with us when you get back and tell us how it went. Ring John or Tommy to organise equipment.

You will soon be ready to try the Advanced Course if that's what you want, but you can dive with us with your O W qualification anytime.

It was good to see you at the Club night last week. Come again. We meet in the same place on the first Wednesday of each month from about 8ish.

Congratulations to Steve and Alistair, father and son, and to Pete, who all successfully completed the Open Water course to-day.

Welcome to FFS Diver Training.

Well done. Hard work eh! Don't let it all go to waste. We'd be delighted if you would join us on other dives as part of your ongoing diver education. Contact John or Tommy to organise the hire of equipment if you need it, or to talk about other courses which you may be interested in.

You may wish to consider taking the Advanced Open Water course, which you may find fun, and we would be pleased to help you gain this important qualification.

We meet on the first Wednesday of  each month at the Leasowe Castle from about 8.00 p.m. onwards. Come along and get to know other club members as well as having a bit of social chat.

Congratulations to Bob and Neil on the successful completion today of the Open Water Dive course. Wecome to FFS Diver Training.

Well done both of you. We had some good laughs today, and we appreciate the hard work you put in to achieve your qualification. Don't let it go to waste.

We'd like you to join us on some leisure dives as soon as you can. Contact John or Tommy when you want to come along, so that they can organise the necessary equipment for you.

If you want to continue your dive education by taking the Advanced Open Water course we'd be pleased to help with that too. It would make you better divers, and you would enjoy diving abroad even more because you would be qualified to dive to 30 metres, if you wanted to, and explore some wrecks too.

Remember we have a club night on the first Wednesday of each month at the Leasowe Castle from about 8 p.m. onwards. The next one is on 6 December and we'd like you to come along and meet the other club members.

Congratulations to John and Mike on successfully completing the Open water course. Well done on achieving your diver first qualification today . Hard work brought its rewards and you both did well.

We are delighted for you that you have already signed up for the Advanced Open Water course. This is a positive statement by you both indicating how much you enjoyed the O W course, and your committment to becoming more accomplished divers.

We'll see you both in the New Year for the start of your Advanced course.

We meet as a club on the first Wednesday of each month at the Leasowe Castle. No heavy drinking, just a social get together, but if you want to get stuck in that's fine. You are now club members so please come along and meet more of the crowd.

Next due date is Wednesday 3 January.

Enjoy your diving in Thailand John.

Congratulations to Phil on successfully completing the Open water course on Sunday at Capernwray, after previously experiencing the joys of The Delph the week before.
Welcome to the club Phil. It was good to see you at the club night on Wednesday.

Keep diving with us and you'll soon be ready to start the advanced course. You can chat to any of the club members about this and I'm confident that they would all recommend it to you.

See you next Wednesday.

Congratulations to Ian on completing the open Water course at Capernwray last Sunday.
I'm glad to see you getting involved with the club by coming to Scotland with us next week. Hope to see you at the monthly Club meeting at the Leasowe Castle on Wednesday, 2 May, from about 8 p.m. onwards. This would give you an opportunity to meet more club members before the Sotland trip.biggrin

Congratulations to Peter, Simon and Darren on successfully completing the Open Water Course today. Hard work and perseverance paid off. Well done.

We are delighted that you are all going to do the Advaced Open Water Course next. It  is all about dives, as opposed to learning and practicing skills, so you should be more relaxed than on the O. U. course.

You are all  members now of the  F.F.S. Diver Training club, so we hope to see you in future at the club nights, which take place at the Leasowe Castle on the first Wednesday of each month, starting at about 8ish. It's just a social get together not a boozy night so come along and get to know other club members.

I hope you enjoy your diving in Malta and Eygypt. See you soon.

Congratulations to Emma and Richie who both qualified as Open Water divers at the Delph today. Well done to you both.
It's great to see so much committment by buying your equipment already and preparing to dive with the club in future. Richie got off to a flyer by joining me, Nick, Gill and George on his first leisure dive, immediately after qualifying. I think that's a first.

See you Wednesday at the Leasowe Castle from about 8ish.

Congratulations to Andy who qualified today at the Delph as an Oen Water Diver. Welcome to the club.
Well done Andy. Remember, if you want to come along to the pool on Wednesday evenings to get some practice in, just give John or Tommy a couple of days advance notice so they can arrange kit for you. The same for Sunday dives. You'd be very welcome.
As you know, Club members meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Leasowe Castle from about 8ish. We hope to see you there again.
Maybe after your holiday you might want to do the Advanced Open Water course. This consists of a 5 dives. These include a deep dive, as deep as 30 metres, and a navigation dive which will hone your underwater navigation skills and use of a compass. In addition, there are three other dives you can chose from, in consultation with John or Tommy. All great fun. There's no exam but there are knowledge reviews to be completed.

See you soon.biggrin

Congratulations to Sally and Sue who today qualified as Open Water divers. Well done to you both, it was a pleasure to work with you. We were particularly impressed with your determination and perseverence to ensure qualification.

We talked afterwards about the value of continuing your diver experience and continuous development. You'd be most welcome at the pool if you want to get some practice in, and/ or you can join other club members on most Sundays in Open Water.
Give some thought to the Advanced course. Remember, the Advanced is all about dives, five of them, and you don't need to practice the skills you've already mastered.
There is no written exam, but there are knowledge reviews which shouldn't cause you a problem. You would do a deep dive, a navigation dive and a choice of three others. The deep dive would qualify you to dive to 30 metres and the navigation dive would improve your underwater navigation and use of a compass.

Now that you are members of the FFS Diver Training club, you might want to join us on the first Wednesday of every month at The Leasowe Castle from about 8ish. You met other club members today and the club night gives everyone the opportunity to meet more club members and share diving stories and experiences. We'd be very pleased to see you there.

There are phone numbers on the site for you to contact John or Tommy. Alternatively you can leave messages on this site.

See you soon.

Congratulations to Ian, Carol Anne, Claire, Joe, John and James who all qualified as Open Water Divers on Sunday.
Well done everybody. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be there helping out and seeing you all earn your qualification.
I hope you will continue your diving education with us at FFS Diver Training.
You will be able to join other club members on leisure dives, and I would also encourage you to become Advanced Open Water Divers. Should you decide to do the course, I know you will benefit from it and become even better and more confident divers.
The Advanced Course consists of a series of five dives, including navigation, a deep dive to as far down as 30 metres, and three other dives. You would choose the three, in consultation with your Instructors, from a list of about 20.
There are no skills to master as in the course you have just completed, although, obviously, you would have the opportunity to practice them Nor is there an exam, although there are Knowledge Reviews which must be completed.
As Advanced Open Water Divers you would be able to try different adventure dives both at home and abroad.
We meet as a club on the first Wednesday of every month at the Leasowe Castle from about eightish. It gives everybody the opportunity to meet other members of the club and to swap a few yarns. The next meeting is Wednesday,  3rd October and we hope to see you there.

Congratulations to Joe and Loll, who today successfully completed the Open Water Course  to become qualified divers. Well done both of you. We were pleased to see how well you persevered to finish. Great!
Remember, if you want to dive with us any time you would be most welcome as you are now Members of FFS Diver Training. You may wish to try some leisure diving, or brush up on your skills by coming along to the pool, which, as you know, we use most Wednesday evenings. Give John or Tommy a ring and they will arrange for you to hire the kit for either the leisure dives or pool training. For pool training you can just do your own thing without us interfering, although we would be on hand to offer guidance and support.

Also, as part of your continuous diving improvement, I would recommend the Advanced Open Water course. Please see the posting above for further information.

I would also remind you that we meet as a club on the first Wednesday of each month at the Leasowe Castle from about 8ish. Come along and meet other club members.
Cheers
