TALK ABOUT SCARING MYSELF SILLY, I THOUGH THE DELPH WAS BAD ENOUGH DURING DAYLIGHT.... BUT
AT NIGHT, IT IS JUST PLAIN SPOOKY. ANYWAY, ENOUGH OF MY WAFFLING, HERE'S HOW IT WENT.
DESCENT TO KNOWHERE, ALTHOUGH WE LANDED ON TOP OF THE VAN (PRETTY GOOD GOING)
SORTED OUT BUOYANCY AND BAM MY DAMN MASK FLOODED.
PANIC SET IN, AND YES I ADMIT I DID PANIC A LITTLE, TRIED TO CLEAR THE MASK BUT SOMEHOW ENDED UP ON THE SURFACE WITH TOM, OH BOY WHAT A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES HE WAS!
SETTLED ON TOP AGAIN!!!!! RE-DESCENDED, NEXT TO VAN, BUOYANCY SORTED AND OFF WE WENT, PAST A FEW SIGHTS, PLEASE DON'T ASK ME WHAT THEY WERE AS I WAS TOO BUSY KEEPING TOMMY IN THE LIGHT OF MY TORCH, THROUGH THE TUNNEL AND AFTER 30 MINS WE SURFACED, MADE 17.7 MTRS MYSELF, CHUFFED TO BITS WITH MYSELF AND THANKFUL FOR PEOPLE AROUND ME, WHOME I TRUST, IT WAS A MOMENTOUS TIME BUT I DO NOT THINK I WILL BE REPEATING THE EXPERIENCE ANY TIME SOON.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE, I LIKE TO SEE WHERE I AM GOING AND WHAT IS IN FRONT OF ME, BEHIND ME, UNDERNEATH ME, YOU ALL GET MY MEANING.
SO THANK YOU TOM, FOR AN UNFORGETABLE EXPERIENCE.
OH AND YOU KIRK, ALWAYS BY MY SIDE WHEN I NEED YOU...
I was glad you were there as well Tricia, night diving in the delph is not my favourite pass time either, one day we may enjoy it but for now the thermostat in hell is still set to high.
You did very well on Saturday night, you have to remember it was your first night dive plus your torch was only small, get a bigger one or put it on you christmas list
