Portland Trip Part 3

Hello all bubble blowers

The house in Portland has been filled, 7 members have paid their monies. Don't dispair, I have Robert checking b&b's in the area for good deals so if you want to join us rabble you can.

Can you put your names forward on this forum who would like to come, then I can work out whether we will need the hard boat with the lift or to contact Fathom and Blues for two ribs.

When I send you the details of the B&B's It will be up to yourselves to organise the bookings, or you can organise the bookings by yourselves anyway if you like, but let ME know either way because I need to organise the boat.

Hi Anti

Possibly between £35 and £45 per day B&B, for the Hardboat it is £400 per day, but split between 10 people £40 a day. The boat will take 12 max so less if we have 12 people on board, this covers food and drink on board, hot showers and toilets.  The boat is yours for the day. The ribs are £20 to £30 per dive, its all down to which dive site you go to, the further out you go the more the dive will cost.

I am still awaiting Robs info on the B&B's, I will post the info on this site when I get it or you can search for accomodation yourself, but let me know as I stated on the site if you are definately going.

Hope that covers everything.

Cheers, Bandit.

Here are the details for portland.

March 30th,31st and april 1st. the house has been filled with 7 people.

For people who want to go b&b;

The Royal Breakwater has accomodation at £22 per night, but it will be basic. phone number is 01305 820476.

Greenshutters phone number 01305 820464, dont know how much but worth a call, also The Brackenbury on 01305 826509.  These are all close to each other.

For those who like good food and accommodation well recommended, I have eaten and stayed there Queen Anne Guest house, 01305 820028. This will cost £32.50 per person per night in a twin or double room.

The boat is called Scimitar, this will cost each person £30 per day for two dives of our choice, food and drink all day, showers provided and toilets all on board with a lift, so no climbing to be done.  You can view the boat and other things on his website.

www.scimitardiving.co.uk

The boat has been provisionally booked, if more than 12 divers go we will have to go with Fathom and Blues.  If you book, let me know as I need to know the numbers going for obvious reasons.

WAC

I REALLY DON'T DO SINGING AS I WOULD HAVE ALL THE LOCAL DOGS HOWLING AND JOINING IN.

BUT WE WILL ALL HAVE A FAB TIME WITHOUT THE BACKING OF MY HORRENDOUS VOCALS.

Hi All

Just to make all aware, Rob phoned me last night and told me that he has sold his cottage (the other house).  Rob informed me that he is looking to move into the 'Dive' house in around 12 weeks which is a bit close for us, we go down in 9 weeks. At the moment we are still booked to go down but as the transaction (house sale) is cash with no chain its going to be tight.  I will keep everyone informed but Rob told me he is looking to move in around mid April so we should be ok.

Anyone with any concerns let me know.
