Whilst best buddy and most of the rest of the club were sleeping in their pits, Dr Del and Scuba Steve were ploughing their way Northwards for a great day's diving at Capernwray.
On arrival a Capernwray our two giants of diving (well perhaps not Steve) donned their kit and were quickly in the water, (after posing manfully on the jetty).
The water was cold (7 degrees) but this didn't bother them as they descended into the deep (well down to the 6m platform anyway) swam to the Cessna and then turned right and headed for the Podsnap where after a short exploration they went on to the Helicopter and Oil Rig.
The Gypsy Moth, the African Queen and the Answer were all ticked off thanks to spot on navigation! They then turned round and followed a big blue pipe which ran from the African Queen to the Gypsy Moth (so all that navigation was wasted) they also noticed it went from the Gypsy Moth to the oil rig; made navigation easy (too easy no fun!) so they turned round and set course up the cliff for the horses and then back to the start point; great dive spoiled somewhat by cold hands and blue pipes (no that wasn't the cold).
Second dive saw our dynamic duo descending to the Oil Rig and despite very poor vis, clocking the Diving Bell, Big helicopter, Candida, Orca, Dreamer, and Horses (again), was there anything they missed, is this a record!
On exiting the water who should they come across but Biohazard, he didn't know they were going to be there, just shows not all club members read this forum!
Sounds like you had a good day Del. Sorry I couldn't join you. I was down south visiting the family.
Incidentally, Best Buddy is not a club member, he is a fictional superhero. Any resemblance in his stories to divers you may know is pure coincidence as they are not based on real people.
Some club members think that I am the real Best Buddy and, although I can understand why, I assure you that it is not so. ( Cue for abusive messages from the usual quarters).
Best Buddy didn't go to Scotland this year either when dive kit and keys strangely disappeared as if by magic. Where was he then? Top Banana he may be, but he has been a bit slack of late!
