Just another sad lesson for us all to learn about not touching anything underwater, carrying the correct and appropriate equipment, diving safely in groups and staying within personal and professional limits if we are to continue diving there.  I cannot even begin to imagine what this pair went through.

Anything like this is a tragedy.

What intrigues me though is where the ropes where and given the relative clarity of Dotty, how she came to get entangled or why they didn't dump the BCD (assume that's what got caught up) and surface with Her buddy.

Guess all be come out in the fullness of time.

Mmmm.  Divernet's story puts a bit of different slant on it though why as an experienced instructor she would not have had a knife, and, as rebreather divers, air should have been in short supply.  Makes sense though as to why they cannot find her body.
