Annual Christmas Stoney Cove Dive

Well?  Who's up for it this year. Weather was really good last year and the water temp and vis weren't too bad for 28th December!!

I have just checked on
www.travelodge.uk website and there are still some £19.00 night rooms available.  I searched on distance from Stoney Cove LE9 4DW and the best price for a twin room is £19.00 at Leicester Central.  Some of us went down the night before last year and had a meal (and a swift half) at the pub next door, but it meant that we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to get to Stoney's gates at 8.30 am. Offer ends 1st December - book it Danno!!

I have also checked on Stoney's website and there is an option to prebook parking before you go.
www.stoneycove.com

And for those of you who haven't been to Stoney at Christmas before - there is never going to be a better opportunity to show off your new Christmas dive toys!!!

Leaky and I shall be going - how about the rest of you???

Same date - same place Friday 28th December 2007

Before you all rush off to book your parking space, it is part of a limited trial (only 10 spaces can be booked) and it is only available to visitors who are members of Stoney's DIVELOG system !

So it looks like the rest of us will still need to be there at the crack of dawn !!

Congratulations Del for spotting the deliberate mistake.  Got you looking didn't it!!!

I take it that you have booked a double for you and Scubasteve!  Don't forget to pack security locks and Imodium for the annual trip t'Midlands! Leaky and I have booked a Family Room for £19.00 at Leicester Central Travelodge for Thursday 27th Dec.  A tenner each - bargain and beats getting up at 4.00 am!

Are there more than the four of us going then?  Race you to the Stanegarth!

I booked a family room also, can't be many left!

Haven't asked Steve if he's going yet, but for £19 I thought I would take a chance even if it's just me, I hate getting up early I just got back from London having gone on the 6am train from Runcorn which meant I had to get up at 4.15, much too early!

As you can see the excitement is growing for our annual xmas trip to deepest Stoney, I am sure I can speak for Vet(unless otherwise advised), the two amigo's (MSD'S) will be there that day to help and coerce our DM's and  assistant instructors to venture below 10 metres wink.

Methinks that coercion will not be required as our MSDs should be more concerned with anticipating their navigation in, around and subsequently beyond the Novice area.  And as a good PADI professional, anticipating a diver's needs, I humbly produce a map for you, complete with bearings!
Plan the dive - dive the plan!

And as ever, I shall be on hand to offer advice and assistance with any "magnetic anomalies" you may experience beneath the water Bandit!!!confused
