Change in FFS Club ownership and management.

I suppose most members now know that there have been changes in the club ,but, just in case you have'nt heard, the changes are:

Archer has decided to sell out his share in the club;
Scubaone's new partner is John Collins;
These changes have already taken place.

I've known Archer since I joined the club, nearly six years ago as one of the first new students of FFS, taking the Open Water course. He and ScubaOne were my instructors.
I've built up a good friendship with him ever since that time and he has helped me, along with Scubaone, in all of my courses.
He has of course helped numerous students over the years to achieve various levels of qualifications, including all of us who are still regular active members of the club. No doubt we all have different and funny stories associated with Archer, who is quite a character. One minute hilarious, the next the serious professional and excellent diver and Instructor.
Archer, on behalf of us all, thanks for everything. We are going to miss you and your humour big feller. I know we'll be seeing you out diving with us from time to time but I wanted to wish you and Marie and your family all the best for the future.biggrin

Now there is John C., a change in face, style and approach.
I've known John since he joined the club about five years ago, and consider him a good friend. He's already instructing a group of Open Water students and I'm sure he'll do very well.
We all welcome you John, and wish you all the best in your new joint venture with ScubaOne. Good luck to you both.biggrin

Just want to express the same comments as Trig; hope everything goes well for everyone concerned and the "new" FFS will continue to get my total support and most of my money!

I am in agreement with all comments.
John Mills and Scuba one taught me many moons ago when the club had just started. I am the diver I am because of their tuition and skill.

Take care John and I will see you hopefully if you are out and about having a splash.

Now for JC, I also have dived many times with JC and like trigsy consider him a good friend.  Good luck JC, I am sure you will not need it.

Although I had'nt been told nor had I heard anything, I had somehow sensed a change in the air. Anyway, as a newly qualified open water diver and new memeber of FFS I would like to comment as follows.yawn

Having received Open Water tuition jointly from John Collins' and Triggerfish in recent weeks, I can testify that both instructor and assistant instructor have demonstrated true professionalism, paitence and a complete understanding on every occassion that I have dived with them.

Some of you will know of my every intention of becoming a commercial diver in the not too distant future. I would just like to say that I feel priverledged to have received my first instruction and tuition from John. Tutition that will form the very basis and foundation of my principal dive skills in my future diving career.

In addition, I would like to thank the Divemasters who took part. All in all I feel that I received the highest standard of training and care available in this region, and would not hesitate in recomending FFS Diver training to anyone wishing to learn to dive.

On a final note, even though I have paid my money and received my training, I still feel welcome by the staff, to attend pool training/practice sessions of which they make no profit from. Yes, FFS diver training offers not just training and facilities, but true, real friends and a sesne of belonging to something that is good, of which I am certain many will agree with. What more can I say.
