Hi, I am looking to get back into the swing of things. I have recently completed the Rescue Diver course and want to get some dives done in the UK. Any potential buddies needing someone for diving in Wales / elsewhere?
How long does it take to get to Capernwray from Wirral? Happy to be shown around the place to check out my skills and ensure that i am a safe diver.
Yeh, I'm into going diving in North Wales etc, but I am perhaps not as experienced as the person you are seeking, but all the same I would be happy to go diving with you.
Capernwray is a good place to go and dive. From the Wirral it should take around 1 hour 15 minutes. Leaky and I were there recently and the prices have gone up a bit but they have spent a lot on it with new changing block and better parking. Saturday is less busy than Sunday but you will need to be there for 9.00 am at the latest to get in.
The vis is relatively good and there is a lot to see in there. Plenty of fish and wrecks, with new additions all the time. There are a couple of defined training areas which go to 6 metres which are ideal for getting acquainted with open water diving in the UK again and building confidence. It can be busy with other dive schools doing courses - but there's always safety in numbers. The water temperature at the moment is around 11 to 12 degrees.
We will possibly be up there on the weekend of 31st and would be happy to catch up if you want a chat.

If my tank is back from its inspection / service then next Sunday I will be looking at a trip to Trefor pier or anothef shore dive around Anglesey. Anyone fancy it?
