I just wanted to remind everybody who knew him that today is the 2nd anniversary of John Pauls, our great friend. Remember John as he was most of the time, laughing. and spare a thought for Lynne.
Hard to believe it's been 2 years since that fatefull day, still miss him, I was looking at all the posts from the time, think we all lost somthing special that day!
I think I can safely say that John is never far from our thoughts and is greatly missed by those who knew him. Time goes so quickly, but his jokes and laughs can still be heard.
Never knew the guy but it is nice to see that you have fond memories of old palls.
Just a though, but should we not have a collection and buy something, a present for wife, something made of glass and engraved from all at FFS or something like that.
It can have a powerfull effect on a person when they know that lots of people think and care and remember. As I say, just a thought....
Its so easy to organise, and as a club I think it only right that we should support families in such a small way. I'm sure that TRIGERFISH would be happy facilitate. Cum'on dig deep.
I see you on Wednesday when I drop by pool on my way back from Delph with my £fiver.
I am sure your message was full of good intent, but like all things dive related, not to mention this club, can I suggest that you take the time and effort to check out what was done, by whom and, more importantly, WHY it was done the way it was - with a special mention and thanks to Trigger who's efforts were monumental.
To some he was a good friend, to others, almost family, he is still known as Uncle John to my Daughters.
Vet, thanks for your observations, as you said the good intention was there.
Anyhow, incase you didnt know, I thought I should mention that the Ucle John is a DSV, my father in law used to do work at 350 m for Comex, UNCLE JOHN does it deeper, faster, safer, surer.
so yes, so there is no getting away from diving is there...
