As always, both myself and Gina will be only too happy to follow wherever you lead, and would very much appreciate it if you could count us in,

As Vet is taking his elf, can we bring our gnome?

Please note that there is no need to be concerned about menus at this stage.
Atlantic will send me details after the bookings have been fully paid for.

I will give out copies of sample menus at the next club night but I don't know how well they will match the set one they will send to me.biggrin

Deposit paid @20 per person; Derek x 2, Ian x 2, Jane x 2, Steve o x 2, Nick x 2and Tommy x 2.

I'd like to remind all of those people who have paid deposits only, for the Christmas night out, that the balance of £13 per person needs to be paid to me at the next Club night.

That's next Wednesday, 5 November.

If you want to pre-order drinks they are 10% cheaper.

You can get: 3 bottles of Stella and 3 bottles of Becks for £18;
3 bottles of WKD and 3 bottles of Smirnoff Ice for £20;
Turner Road Chardonnay for £14.50;
Turner Road Cabernet Zinfandel £14.50;
Hardys Cabernet Grenache Rose £14.95;
Descombe Brut    £32.95.

Should you wish to pre-order, then please pay me on Wednesday and let me know what you want.
Cheersbiggrin

Just a reminder that the meal is a Festive Carved Buffet. I think most people have a copy of the menu.biggrin

Final Reminder

A number of people failed to turn up at the Clubnight on Wednesday to pay the balance for the Christmas night out. Only Scubasteve has since contacted me about it.

I need the balance now in order to finalise your bookings. I've sent texts to most of you who still owe money but I do not have a number for everybody. If you fall into the latter category I will send you a private message through the site with my home address so you can send me a cheque. Please leave your message on this site so that I know that is what you would like to do.

if anybody has changed their mind about going then I should be most grateful if you would let me know now. In such a case I'm afraid your deposit has been paid to the hotel and will not be refunded. Sorry.

I will assume you are not going if you do not respond to this message or the text by Monday 10 November.biggrin

A pleasant change has been made for the Christmas night out.

The Hotel has upgraded our booking to A Glitter Ball Party. The cost to others for this is £45 per person, compared to the £33 we have paid.
We will be in the Vista Bar and Restaurant where we will be able "to dance the night away to the sopund of a live 80's band, and if you fancy it, dress up in your coolest 80's gear. There's a prize for the most colourful". There is also a DJ.
The food menu has changed so as soon as I receive it I'll post it on this site. Please make your choice and reply on the site without delay as I have to notify the hotel of our selection.
I am expecting the menu any day now so please check daily. Thanks.biggrin

Christmas night out menu

Starters, choose one

Tomato & Red Pepper Soup, or
Chicken & Mango
.

Main Meal, choose one

Roast Turkey,or
Loin of Cod, or
Mushroom Risotto, or
Roast Beef.

Dessert, choose one

Christmas Pudding or
Chocolate Trifle or
Cheese Platter

Please let me know as soon as possible what your choices are so that I can place your orders.
It would be very helpful and avoid causing confusion on the night if you state the orders precisely for each individual. I know all partners names so if you would rather not put names on the site just state, for example, your order and partner's order. I'll do the rest.
Any queries let me know.biggrin

Thanks everybody . I've got all of the menus now.

I suggest we meet for a drink in "The Cornmarket" which is in the Old Ropery off Fenwick Street, any time from 7.
When you come out of James Street Station turn left then take the first left. That's Fenwick Street. The hotel is just a few minutes walk away.
If you are driving, use the Birkenhead tunnel and exit onto the dock road. The hotel is on the left as you come out.

Those of you who may prefer to go straight to Thistle Atlantic Tower will be able to go to the bar from 7.00 p.m. The meal is 8 o'clock.
I have no idea what the The Cornmarket is like but it's worth a try. I don't know much about pubs in the City centre. Come to think of it, I don't know much about pubs anywhere.biggrinno

I've been informed there is normally a themed dress for these occasions? Somebody (Phil) mentioned an 80's theme? Whats the dress code? Adam Ant or New Romantics? lol

PS. I'm not gullable either.

Regards

Ian
