Another MSD Jaunt. Geoff and I are heading up to good old Capernwrey this Sunday, If anyone wants to join us, you will be welcome. We will be at Charnock around 8ish. Come and join in the Winter fun with the MSD's
I was honoured to dive with the remarkable MSDs ar Capernwray on Sunday.
It was amazing how much they were able to teach me: such things as take your wooly hat off before you close the boot, breath continuously and never hold your breath; make sure you are wearing a mask and fins before entering the water; don't jump in on top of other divers as it can cause injury; equalise your ears as you descend; use hand signals to communicate. These are just a few examples of the astonishing tips they passed on to me. I think MSDs must stand for Marvellous Scuba Divers. Their knowledge knows no bounds.
It was a pleasant 11 degrees down below and was warmer in the water than out. Maybe that's because the MSDs told me to wear an undersuit . It really helped a lot. I still got soaked though as they didn't tell me I should wear a dry suit over it. Visibilty was very good, a bit like Sharm, and the Bandit's navigation skills were superb. He really scared me though on the first dive when he took me down to more than 17 metres. I think I was abit narked though as am not used to going to that depth.
