Christmas Night Out!!!!!!

I know it's a bit early but I have been sent the info for Christmas parties at the Thistle Atlantic Tower Hotel, the one we went to last year.

You may recall that we upgraded on the last minute last year and enjoyed a Glitter Ball Party in the Vista Bar & Restaurant at no extra cost. If we were to book that again for this year it would cost £45 per person, and be held on, 4,5,11,12 or 18 December. These are Friday and Saturday nights.

If we were to book a Carved Buffet in the National Suite, which is the one we originally booked last year it would cost £35 per person on 4,5,11,12,18,and 19 December. These are Friday and Saturday nights.

A number of you have already said that you would be happy to go to the same place again, and right now I am assuming that most people would prefer the cheaper option should the venue be approved by the majority.

We could discuss this further at the Club Night on Tuesday, 7 July.

Please spread the word as not everybody looks at the site.biggrin

Hello Everybody

I've spoken to quite a few of you and the feed back on last year's venue is very good.

I therefore intend to book the same venue, Thistle Atlantic Tower, for this year's Christmas party.

The people I have spoken to have agreed that we should go for the Carved Buffet, costing £35 per person on Saturday 19 December. This was the party we paid for last time, but you may recall that we were given a late upgrade to something more costly.

A deposit of £20 each is required and I had hoped to collect this at next week's Club night. However, it is unlikely that I shall be there.

I suggest that the full payment of £35 per person be given to me on or before the following  Club night, scheduled for Tuesday, 6 October, at the Leasowe Castle.
I would respectfully ask for your cooperation on the matter of payments as it did not all go according to plan last year and I ended up out of pocket. Unfortunately, because of this, I will not be able to make any payments on behalf of people who say they are going but do not pay on the due date.

I have spoken to the Thistle staff and they will accept a provisional booking pending payment. I should be most grateful if you would confirm as soon as possible that you will be going so that I can let the Thistle know.

Please pass this message on to other Club Members.

Thank you.biggrin

Ged

I will be up in sunny Aberdeen on Tuesday, so won't be able to make the meeting, but Deepthought is going to pay for Jan and myself.
