Standing at the side of the pool, our hero Bandit looked on as the trainees were put through their paces by Nick, Gill, Tom and Paul.
He smiled to himself, thinking back to the time he trained all those moons ago he had discovered once submerged in the water an affinity with everything around him. The trainees looked on in awe at the speed and dexterity, also the skill in which he set up his equipment, once completed, Bandit kitted up and in he went.
The hour consisted of checking out the gear, going through certain skills such as mask removal, loss of regulator and checking bouyancy, all completed to his satisfaction, Bandit then watched the instructors, making sure the trainees were being properly tutored. The instructors saw Bandit watching, nervousley they carried on with the training, hoping they were'nt making minute mistakes, Bandit reassured them with a hearty wave and a smile.
Bandit returned to the edge of the pool, fully satisfied his equipment was in good working order, ready for the adventure to begin at Portland, Bandit said to himself................bring it on!!!!!!!
Soon, I will be there..........soon I will be diving amongst the wrecks of the ocean!!!
Hmm, Bandito. I hope you did a proper weight check at the surface. Your kit will have been soooo dry that it will have been quite buoyant in the water!!!
Nice to see you there, matey. All told there were 14 in the water last night excluding the blokes who were retiling the pool. We missed out there, we could have also shown them our underwater DIY skills. I'm quite good with a mastic gun!
See you and everyone else on Tuesday evening - Clubnight at Leasowe Castle.
